Imagery has been part of my life since leaving school, including owning an award winning photography studio in Dunedin for over 10 years and being a past member of the New Zealand Professional Photographers Association (NZPPA). I then went on to own and manage a large format digital printing company and then moved into large project signage.
In 2021, I met Robyn and moved to live in Central Otago. The beautiful scenery reignited my passion for photography.
Robyn
When I was eight I was given my first little camera. The images were often blurred but I still remember the excitement of getting them back from the printers. While on holiday Mark encouraged me to pick up one of his cameras, which sparked my interest in nature photography. Pretty much from then on my camera has been an almost constant companion. While local fauna and flora was my initial focus I have developed a love of capturing people.
Moving to North Canterbury in early 2025 gave us the opportunity to turn our idea of owning our own photography business into reality. While still spending time out and about exploring new areas and photo opportunities we are excited that together we are Allume Photography.
